American Man Fatally Shoots Two Climate Activists in Panama

A 77-year-old American lawyer and professor allegedly fatally shot two climate activists Tuesday who were part of a protest blockade on the Pan American Highway in Panama, Timothy Frudd reports for American Military News. Kenneth Darlington was captured on video arguing with the climate activists at the blockade and pulling a gun while attempting to remove items from their barricade before then fatally shooting two of them. Darlingon was arrested by the police and currently remains in custody. Climate activists have been blocking the Pan-American Highway over the last three weeks in protest against a mining contract involving the largest copper mine pit in the region. The massive protest has resulted in up to $80 million in losses per day for businesses and has also shut down schools across the nation for over a week.
