BB&K Named City Attorney of Beasley, Texas

HOUSTON, TX—Best Best & Krieger LLP is pleased to announce its appointment to serve as city attorney of the City of Beasley, Texas, effective Feb. 1, 2023.

Of Counsel Derra Leigh Purnell, a member of BB&K’s Municipal Law practice group, has advised Beasley on a variety of projects since 2017, and Beasley City Council formally approved the firm to advise as general counsel at its February meeting.

While numerous BB&K attorneys represent clients located or working in Texas, Beasley is the firm’s first municipal general counsel client in the state. The firm will provide Beasley with a range of general and special counsel services.
