California Inmate who Killed I-5 Strangler Suspected of Attacking Paul Flores

A prison inmate who was already serving a life term for murdering another notorious inmate in 2021, the serial killer known as the “I-5 Strangler,” recently attacked Paul Flores, the convicted killer of Kristen Smart, a 19-year-old who went missing in 1996, Chloe Jones reports for The Tribune. Jason Budrow is suspected of the attempted murder of Flores, who was sent to the hospital for two days after being stabbed in the neck with “manufactured weapon,” according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Budrow is serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole for two separate murders, the first that sent him to prison 12 years ago and the second being the rapist and murderer Roger Reece Kibbe, the I-5 Strangler, once he was already behind bars.
