A man in Tampa Bay, Florida allegedly ambushed two local police officers responding to a call made by his mother who claimed that he was acting violently at their home and that she feared for her safety, Jon Haworth reports for ABC News. Ralph Bouzy, 28, was in his car in the driveway of the house when the two officers arrived and tried to speak with him before he drove away. But police say that Bouzy returned to the scene fifteen minutes later and rammed his car into two officers who were standing outside their marked patrol SUV, critically injuring both. Two other deputies who were on site then Tasered Bouzy after he exited his car and took him into custody. Bouzy has a criminal history, previously being arrested for three felonies and 14 misdemeanors, and is now facing three charges of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.
