Law Enforcement Prep For Trump’s Possible Indictment

As the investigation into former president Donald Trump’s alleged involvement in a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels begins to come to a close, law enforcement and security agencies are preparing for the potential filing of criminal charges against him, Jonathan Dienst reports for NBC News.

Agencies including the NYPD, New York State Court Officers, the U.S. Secret Service, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office are apparently conducting preliminary security assessments and discussing security plans in preparation for a possible Trump indictment. Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer who pleaded guilty in 2018 to a federal charge relating to the payment, testified before a grand jury hearing evidence in the case Wednesday.
