Legal Services of Greater Miami Hosts 14th Annual Heart of Giving Celebration

On May 18, Legal Services of Greater Miami hosted its 14th Annual Heart of Giving Celebration and Judicial Reception at the Rubell Museum in the Miami Arts District. Well-regarded WPLG Local 10 Reporter and This Week in South Florida host Glenna Milberg served as Master of Ceremonies of the event.

Board Director Laura Zapata-Kim presented Dr. Pedro “Joe” Greer, Dean of the Roseman University College of Medicine, with the 2023 Equal Justice Humanitarian Leadership Award for his professional accomplishments and service. Dr. Greer has been a long-time advocate for health equity and a champion of the homeless and underserved communities.

Event Chair Lilly Ann Sanchez presented Alan Greer, former Miami Partner at Day Pitney LLP, with the 2023 Equal Justice Leadership Award for his noteworthy career achievements, as well as his outstanding contributions to the pursuit of justice through his relentless efforts in the fight against homelessness.

The celebration drew over 350 members of the legal, business, and civic community, and guests enjoyed specialty drinks during the elegant cocktail reception and silent auction.
