Michigan Inmate Mistakenly Released in Ohio Has Been Missing for Two Months
Authorities in Michigan are seeking the public’s help in locating Christopher Bibbs Jr., a 21-year-old prison inmate who was mistakenly released from the Warren County, Ohio jail on March 23, the Associated Press reports. Bibbs, who has an arm tattoo that reads “only the strong survive,” was serving a four-year minimum sentence for carjacking in Michigan and was in Ohio for another criminal case. Efforts to locate him, including working with his family, have been unsuccessful, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. The Michigan Corrections Department is now requesting assistance from the public in finding Bibbs, who is believed to be in the Detroit area.
