Missing Murder Suspect Shot Himself When Officers Tried To Question Him About Georgia Escapees
While chasing down four men who escaped from Georgia jail earlier this month, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force found someone unexpected: a murder suspect who was supposedly kidnapped seven months ago, CBS News reports. When the task force followed a tip to the home of someone they were told might have information on the escapees, the occupant of the apartment they were visiting allegedly opened fire through the door. The man, Christian Demond Williams, was found wounded inside and a woman in the apartment said that he shot himself when police arrived. The four men from the Oct 16 escape have still not been found and a $73,000 reward has been offered for information leading to their capture.
