Senior Trial Lawyer Moshe Horn Joins Simmons Hanly Conroy
NEW YORK, NY—Simmons Hanly Conroy, a national complex litigation firm and one of the country’s leading mesothelioma law firms, is pleased to announce that Moshe Horn has joined the firm’s New York City office as a shareholder to help spearhead the expansion of the firm’s litigation capabilities in asbestos, mass tort and class action practices.
Horn has obtained numerous seven-figure verdicts for his clients and is one of the few lawyers in the country to try a class action case, receiving a $47 million verdict in federal court. Having tried over 100 cases in different jurisdictions in all types of matters, both civil and criminal, he is skilled in the nuances of jury research and selection in both civil and criminal matters.
Moshe began his career at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, spending 10 years there trying and investigating complex cases. After leaving the DA, Moshe worked at the law firm of Kaye Scholer, focusing on product liability and asbestos defense.
Moshe has been an adjunct professor of law at the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law for 25 years teaching courses in trial advocacy, and the business of law, and was selected recently as best adjunct professor. He is also active in the community, coaching youth mock trial teams and an active lecturer in schools, advising students and parent associations on criminal issues facing teens and millennials.
Simmons Hanly Conroy represents more families impacted by mesothelioma — an aggressive form of cancer linked to asbestos exposure — and files more mesothelioma cases every year than any other law firm in the country. The firm has achieved 11 verdicts on behalf of its clients in the past six years.
